Safety Guidelines

Your safety is our top priority. Follow these guidelines for a safe run.

Run During Daylight

Whenever possible, run during daylight hours. If running in low light, wear reflective gear and use a headlamp.

Run With a Buddy

Running with others is safer and more fun. Join our group runs or find a running partner through our community.

Carry Your Phone

Always carry a charged phone with emergency contacts. Share your location with family or friends when running alone.

Stay Alert

Be aware of your surroundings. Avoid wearing headphones at high volume and stay visible to traffic.

Beginner's Guide

New to running? Here's everything you need to know to get started.

1

Get the Right Gear

Invest in a good pair of running shoes from a specialty store. They'll analyze your gait and recommend the best fit. Wear moisture-wicking clothes for comfort.

2

Start Slow

Begin with a walk/run approach. Try running for 1 minute, then walking for 2 minutes. Repeat for 20-30 minutes. Gradually increase your running intervals.

3

Follow a Plan

Use our Couch to 5K program or similar structured plan. Having a schedule keeps you accountable and prevents overtraining.
